• Suppressor Safe — The projectile is machined from solid bar stock.  Expansion only occurs upon impact through hydraulic energy.  (They only expand when they hit “wet.”)  This is not a frangible bullet produced from powdered metal.

Reloading Notes for the 308 Winchester: 

1 – Due to barrel variations prominent in 308 Winchesters, the above starting load may be slightly supersonic and charge levels will need to be reduced carefully until the correct velocity is obtained.  The charge weight must be reduced gradually; sticking a monolithic solid in a barrel usually requires the service of a gunsmith to drill the bullet out as they cannot be “driven” out.

 2 – This projectile is stable in 1:10 twist barrels at 1,040 fps.  Several manufactures use 1:12 twist barrels on their 308 Winchesters.  If you are shooting suppressed, we suggest you shoot a test shot at 25 yards with the suppressor off and ensure the target hole is round before shooting with the suppressor.
